Cavoodle

A Cavoodle (or Cavapoo) is a hybrid breed that is created by crossing a Poodle and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. They are known for their loving and affectionate nature, making them a popular breed among pet owners. Their low/non-shedding coats make them suitable for people with allergies and families looking for a dog that won't leave hair throughout the house.

Temperament

Cavoodles reflect the best traits of both their parents. Like Cavaliers, they are affectionate, playful, intelligent personality. Like Poodles, they are known for their loving and sociable nature. This makes Cavoodles ideal family pets, as they are great with children and other pets. They also make good therapy dogs, as they have a calming and soothing effect on people.

Size & Colouring

At Braeside Oodles we specialise in Toy Cavoodles which are considered a small breed. They typically to grow to approximately 25-35cm to the shoulder and weigh approximately 5-12kg. Our Toy Cavoodles come in a range of colours including chocolate, tri-coloured, black and apricot.

Grooming & Maintenance

While Cavoodles do require regular grooming to maintain their coat, they are not considered to be a high maintenance breed. Cavoodles, like other oodle breeds, are considered a hypoallergenic dog breed due to their low-shedding and allergy-friendly coat. Their allergy-friendly coat makes them a good choice for many people with allergies and/or asthma as they won't have reactions to their coat or dander. Regular brushing can help avoid their coat from becoming matted, allowing you to keep their fluffy coat if you like that look.

Health

At Braeside Oodles, we pride ourselves on providing families with happy and healthy puppies. This is why all our breeding dogs are DNA tested for any genetic problems that can be passed onto their puppies. Our Cavoodles, along with all of our other puppies leave our home with the following:

  • Thorough Veterinarian check

  • First Vaccination C3

  • Microchipped

  • Parasite preventative (worm & flea)

All puppies are sold as pets only and as such come with a desexing voucher/contract to have the puppy desexed between 6-12 months of age. We also provide our puppies with a health guarantee so you can be confident you are buying a healthy puppy that will live a long and happy life.

Exercise

Cavoodles have a moderate energy level and like other dogs, require regular exercise to maintain both their physical and mental health. 30 to 60 minutes of moderate exercise per day, such as a long walk, play session in the park and/or the use of enrichment toys, such as Kongs is recommended. It's important that Cavoodles are given enough physical and mental stimulation to prevent boredom.
